ViewIt is an image viewer which can replace the built in Preview.

There comes a day when each of us gets bored of using the same applications over and over. If you were using the Preview, you might also want to try ViewIT. Besides the fact that it has a lot of extra features, it is very easy to use.

With ViewIT you can import pictures from anywhere on your Mac. Then you can organize them as a list of photos. This is useful, for example, if you have many pictures of places you've been to, you don't like some of them that much, but still you don't want to completely delete them. The list of photos you like can be saved and loaded later. Also, you can start a slide-show of these pictures by simply pressing the space bar.

I liked very much the fact that I could see the time when my pictures were taken, because this software can display the EXIF tags of photos. Any newer photo camera should be able to write these tags, so this feature of ViewIT can be used at its fullest. By the way, I forgot to tell you that importing pictures directly from your camera is also possible with this software.

Pluses: All kinds of useful features are available.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: Overall this software is very good and it's worth a try. I tested this program thoroughly and couldn't find any bugs or flaws in its user interface. If you install it be sure to check out the Tools menu because that's where you can be impressed by the provided set of features like: batch conversion, export into HTML, e-mail one or more pictures, batch rename.
